4)      Soil

It is important to remember to never use beach sand or additional fertilizers.  If this occurs, the terrarium plants will not survive. Too much direct sunlight will also kill these indoor plants.

Different types of glass are used for terrariums; however the most common type is regular plate glass. It is rather thick, and makes the plants visible to their outside viewers. Another type of glass that is used for terrariums is known as “Starphire” glass. It is also referred to as “aka low – iron glass”, and is rather costly and will increase an additional cost to your terrarium.
